Responsible Lending / Consumer Protection Policy

How we try to lend fairly: clear prices, identity checks, and a path to complain if something goes wrong.

Last updated: 22 September 2026

1. Purpose

New Hampshire Capital Limited, trading as BorrowFuel, provides short-term fuel credit. This policy sets out how we aim to treat customers fairly and avoid presenting credit as if it were unregulated cash.

2. Transparency

  • Fuel cost, service charge, due date, and outstanding balance are shown in-product
  • Overdue interest, when it starts, and that it is simple (not compounded) are disclosed in the Consumer Credit Agreement
  • We do not claim a regulator licence we do not hold

3. Assessment

We may verify identity (including NIN and related KYC) and apply internal limits before granting or increasing fuel credit. We may decline or reduce a limit. A decline is not a statement about your character.

4. Use of the facility

Credit is for fuel at partner stations only. We may block purchases that look like fraud, third-party abuse, or activity outside the product.

5. Collections

Reminder notices may be sent before and after the due date. We aim to communicate clearly and not use abusive collection practices. Persistent non-payment may lead to restricted access and lawful recovery.

6. Vulnerability and complaints

If you are in difficulty, contact Customer Support promptly. Formal complaints follow our Complaints Policy.
